Wildrye, Dahurian

Cool season, short-lived perennial bunchgrass native to Siberia, Mongolia and Northern China. Excellent forage, with nutritional quality and palatability for livestock similar to Altai and Giant wildrye. Establishes rapidly and has quick recovery after cutting or grazing. Used in grass mixtures to increase production from young stands of grasses that are slow to establish.
